Throughout my career I have worked with people navigating complex personal and professional challenges. I trained in law and worked at a senior level in the City within media, retail and technology firms. Much of the work I did was in mergers and in developing new businesses, so I understand the pressures of professional careers and demanding environments.
I was educated at Oxford and Cambridge Universities. I gained my Master’s in Psychology at University College London, at the world-renowned Anna Freud Centre, specialising in Developmental Psychology, where I researched, lectured and taught. I became a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. I completed my training in Organisational Psychology at Birkbeck, University of London, where I studied the relationship between personal and professional development.
My approach as a therapist provides a clear focus on what happens next. I bring together psychotherapeutic techniques and my 20 years’ experience working in developmental and organisational psychology with individuals and groups.
As well as private practice, I have worked in the NHS, with students at Imperial College, and with parenting charities, including work with couples. Currently, I am deepening my approach with specialist training in Attachment-based Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy at The Bowlby Centre. I have specific training in couples work and working with grief. I am a member of the BACP and UKCP, follow their codes of ethics and receive regular supervision.
I offer short term counselling or longer term psychotherapy based in my consulting rooms in central London or online.
